I was out today, but in my absence you worked in MATHia. Have you met your goals? The current grading period closes at midnight.

Here is this week's extra credit:
  1. Draw a detailed, colorful map of the neighborhood and area surrounding one of your favorite places.
  2. Label street names, landmarks, and other points of interest on your map
  3. Identify on the map an example of each of the different types of lines you learned about in Lesson 10.1
  4. Identify on the map an example of each of the different types of angles you learned about in Lesson 10.2
  5. Bring your finished product to Mr. Rothe on Monday.

We dove into the concept of similarity today with the first part of Lesson 9.2. We'll wrap it up tomorrow.

Homework: Write a paragraph comparing and contrasting the terms congruent and similar. Be sure to discuss detailed characteristics like corresponding angles and corresponding sides. Be thorough in your analysis.

We learned about congruent triangles today in the first half of Lesson 8.2.

We discovered the difference between equal and congruent, and investigated how to write congruence statements and measure/length statements.
