Tuesday 10/13

We finished our look at finding the rate of change / slope of an equation today in the second half of Lesson 3.4. We discovered that it's always a two step process:

  1. Get the equation into
    y = mx + b format
  2. The slope is the coefficient of x
We also did a Desmos activity to investigate the meaning of slope in graphs and equations. If you'd like to do/finish the activity at home, go to student.desmos.com and use class code we2s. Extra fun: have your parents try it!

Also, a reminder that we'll be taking Common Assessment #2 on Friday. A study guide has been uploaded to the Document Locker (linked in the toolbar above).

Homework: Textbook pages 179-180 (#3, 4, 5, 7)
